Big Ghun Out With ‘Walk Off’

Big Ghun

He goes by the name Big Ghun which is an abbreviation for Greatest Human Undefined by Nature (GHUN) and has just released a single “Walk Off” under his name record label TNR Music.

Born Nicholas Tetteh Nartey, Big Ghun, has been in the music industry for the past three years but signing on to his record label has moved his career further.

For him, “getting a record label is the best thing that has happened to me in the industry so far.

“The record label is handling the promotion aspect and this has given me enough time to concentrate on the music and do good music to attract sales as well,” the burly rapper told The Coastal Eye. “Now my music is travelling far due to the work putting in by my management, something that was very difficult to do in the past due to the financial implications,” he said.

The single which was released this year is a collaboration between him and Tic Tac, now known only as TiC and is enjoying lots of airplay.

The mid-tempo song is simply asking ladies to give their partners some breathing space and not to be clingy lest they become a nuisance, “…and make the guy walk off.”

Even though his genre is hip-pop and rap which is a youth-oriented type of music, Big Ghun says he is looking beyond the youth to attract the elderly with good lyrical content “which will appeal to the elderly and win them.”

Even though he sees the music industry, especially the rap sector as very competitive, he believes the market is big enough to contain all and for each one to have his niche.

“And I am here to make that name for myself and push Ghana name on the world music map,” he pledged.
