Nightlife in Cape Coast is incomplete without a visit to the Hutchland City near Pedu where the action is.
Since the Goil Filling Station at the Pedu Junction was closed down for renovation, the Hutchland City Restaurant and Pub on the Pedu-Aborah road, has become the centre of attraction for dwellers and visitors to the Coastal town to unwind after hard day’s work, especially on weekends.
The centre provides patrons with a cool environment to relax and to revitalise oneself after an exhaustive working week. It provides good music and sumptuous foods.
Aside the ambience at the place that attracts patrons, it also has a resident band that dishes out good music. Its sensational lead vocal is the main pull to the place as his rendition of popular songs is without blemish and could even get the deaf nodding his head.
Pozo, as he is known, has a very melodious voice that jells very well with other members of the band to the admiration of all who throng the place.
Even though he has a problem with mobility as he is physically challenged, that has no effect on his delivery and ability to carry the crowd along with him.
People only notice his disability when they try to catch a glimpse of the one that has been keeping them on their feet.
It is a regular feature at Hutchland on weekends to see locals and foreigners alike shaking off at the popular recreational centre dancing to the tunes of the band.
A regular patron of the place, Agya Aggrey, told The Coastal Eye that his weekend was never complete without a visit to the place.
He said the place has become his preferred destination to while away time and also to listen to good music.
